Kiki Petratou was born in 1971 in Patras, Greece. She studied at the
Athens School of Fine Arts (1993-99) and continued her studies with an
MA in Fine Art (awarded with Distinction) at the Piet Zwart
Institute/Willem De Kooning Academy Rotterdam, NL and Plymouth
University, UK, (2004-2004) and a Research Masters in Media Studies,
University of Amsterdam, NL (2005-07). She is co-founder of the artist
collective ARTISTS WITH ATTITUDE and curator and co-organizer of
the multidisciplinary project ATTRACTION OF THE OPPOSITES.
She has presented her work in several solo and group exhibitions and
festivals in Greece, Netherlands, Italy, UK, Yugoslavia, Russia, Australia,
USA, etc. Examples include venues such as Photo Miami,
Recontres International de la Photographie in Arles, Ulis Photo Festival
in Istanbul and museums like Rotterdam Photomuseum and
Utrecht Centraal Museum. Her work focuses mainly on photography.
She is based in Rotterdam, NL.
